Field trip and lecture meeting at JAMSTEC (Japan Marine Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology) headquaters

A field trip (and lecture) sponsored by IEEE Tokyo Section LMAG (co-sponsored by TPC) was held at JAMSTEC (Japan Marine Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology) Headquarters (Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture) from 14:00 to 17:00 on October 4th. There were 23 people (including 22 IEEE members). After a tour of the exhibition hall and maintenance shop, Dr. Satoru Yokoi, senior researcher and group leader of the Atmosphere-Ocean Interaction Research Center, gave a lecture titled ``From JAMSTEC's ocean and weather research.''
