Engineer in Electronics and Communication Networks from the Technical University of the North. Volunteer member in IEEE since 2015 where he has held different dignities within the organization such as Treasurer (2016), Vice President (2018) and President of the IEEE-UTN Student Branch (2019), a period in which awards were achieved as a Student Branch Exemplary of the Ecuador Section, and International as an Exemplary Student Branch of Region 9. Presentation that highlights the role of young professionals in society and their remuneration in the industry.

Biography:

Durán is an Electronic Engineer with a Master's Degree in Education with a mention in Evaluation and Accreditation of the Quality of Education from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. Currently, he works as an Accreditation Process Executive at ICACIT, a private institution responsible for ensuring the quality of professional training programs in STEM and Architecture. Durán is a Senior Member of IEEE and his 20 years of volunteer service include the roles of President of the Peru Section (2015-16), President of the Andean Council (2018-19), Member of the Council of the Society of Industrial Applications (2016- present) and Chair of the Region 9 Accreditation Committee (2022-23). In 2018, Durán received the IEEE Region 9 "Theodore W. Hissey" Award for his contributions to student and young professional activities.

Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering, specialized in management and maintenance planning of electrical substations and transmission lines, as well as project management, she is a member of IEEE since 2014, and a graduate of the VolT program. She has stood out in positions in IEEE RAS Peru as president, in IEEE Peru Section as Representative of the Eastern and Southern regions, Vice Chair and Advisor in SAC Peru, President of Membership Development, now with the position of Vice Chair of the IEEE Affinity Group YP Peru. She currently works as a Power Systems Planning Assistant at ENGIE.
