As part of the MOU between IEEE Pune and NJ Sections, an Ideathon program is organized on  'Greening the planet'.  28 student teams are participating in the event, showing a lot of interest and enthusiasm.  
 
 The five themes for the event are
a) Mitigating  Carbon Emissions
b) Overcoming water scarcity and Quality issues 
c) innovating Waste Management Strategies
d) Alleviating Food Insecurity 
e)   Use of Space technology

As part of the MOU between IEEE Pune and NJ Sections, an Ideathon program is organised on  'Greening the planet'.  28  students teams are participating in the event, showing lot of interest and enthusiasm.  
 
 The five themes for the event are

A  Design workshop was organized for the benefit of all participants on 6th October in which design specialists from  IBM gave advice and suggestions to the participants. Based on these inputs, students have launched their design workout at about 8 PM IST today. This will be a continuous affair of about 126 hours, when they will consolidate their ideas and submit them by 8 AM on 7th Oct.  Three parallel panels have been constituted who will evaluate these design ideas. Each team will be given an opportunity for a 6- 6-minute presentation to the panel of judges.  Based on the evaluation, 6 teams will be selected by the judges.   
 
The selected teams will make a final presentation to an open audience at a program starting at 8 PM IST on 7th October ( Saturday). These will be evaluated by a set of Juries who will announce the winners at the end of the presentation. All the winners will be felicitated at the end of the event.
