Technology used in audio and video processing of Prasar Bharati
The talk was conducted as a part of IEEE day celebrations. AJIET IEEE
Student branch councillor Mr. Manjukiran B, Dr. Shantarama Rai D, Principal,
AJIET, Dr. Gnane Swarnadh Satapathi, AJIET Radio Club incharge and Mr.
Chandrasekhar Shetty, Broadcast Engineer, Prasar Bharathi started the event
with invocation. Principal of AJIET gave a welcome speech and addressed the
importance of communication in day to day life. Mr. Chandrasekhar Shetty has
spoken about different types of modulation techniques used in Short wave and
medium wave radio of Akashvani. He highlighted how the radio was used by
government during disasters like Chennai floods, Hudhud etc. He was also
saying about types of internships present in All India Radio and how to apply
for it. He showed different types of data storing devices from tape, magnetic
disk etc. Along with that he showed different types of microphones which are
used to record the talks, commentary and also the portable recorder.
