IEEE Day Celebration
Under the guidance of Branch Counsellor’s Dr. Simran Khiani the IEEE Day was hosted on 14th of October 2023 at 10:00am by IEEE SB GHRCEM in collaboration with IEEE Pune Section.
Anchor for the day, Ayan Sheikh, welcomed Dr. Simran Khiani and introduced Dr. Simran Khiani is currently Branch Counsellor of IEEE SB GHRCEM and HoD of Computer Department and also with that special guest is Campus director Dr. R. D. Kharadkar sir.
Dr. Simran Khiani spoke about What is IEEE? How IEEE befits students? Various activities, events, conferences conducted by IEEE. and Sessions lasted 60 minutes. It threw insight on the advantages of IEEE, its reaches to regions, sections, sub sections and branches, the authorship details, recognition through various awards & medals and different IEEE events organized throughout the year. As a whole this seminar was quite important in understanding the whole spectrum of IEEE. This was followed by a query resolution round.
During the event, the session became interactive when speakers answered audience questions, providing further insights into the topics. Students and attendees came to know about the IEEE and half of them were interested to be a part of this worldwide community. This event emphasizes ethical considerations in technology development and indorsed its commitment to using technology to advance society and encourage responsible engineering practices. It also cultivated the public about the importance of technology in our daily lives and stimulate the next generation of engineers and technologists.
