IEEE Day '23 Kazakhstan Celebration

The IEEE Student Branch at Nazarbayev University (NU) celebrated IEEE Day on October 13th, a week later than the official date of October 4th due to the fall break period. During the event, we organized class-to-class meetings to engage students and invited them to our seminar on the advantages of IEEE membership. Aruzhan Zinedenova, the Chair of the Student Branch, discussed the operations of local branches. Professor Muhammad Takhir Akhtar, the Vice-Chair of Kazakhstan Subsection, and Professor Gulsim Kulsharova, acting Chair of the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group, delivered speeches on membership benefits. The event also featured Professor Ilesanmi Adesida, the Provost of NU, who shared his IEEE membership experience as a lifetime member.
