Design Thinking


Innovation Fortnight aims to engage with the community (students) and inspire their interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields . The program focuses on inspiring the next generation of STEM enthusiasts and fostering a sense of curiosity and exploration while featuring engaging workshops, interactive sessions, and an enlightening industry symposium aimed at showcasing the practical applications of STEM concepts in real-world scenarios. Participants will benefit from exposure to cutting-edge technologies, hands-on experiments, and the chance to interact with accomplished professionals in various STEM fields. This experience will spark interest, stimulate creativity, and potentially ignite a passion for pursuing STEM careers among attendees. The impact of the event will be measured by participant engagement, feedback, and subsequent involvement in STEM-related activities.

Muthomi Waweru, an Electrical and Electronics Engineering student at Kenyatta University, is a passionate advocate for renewable energy and sustainable transportation. He possesses a strong foundation in hardware development and web development, making him a versatile technologist. As an active member of IEEE, he leads the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) Kenyatta University Chapter . Muthomi's practical experience includes work with Kenya Power and Lighting Company and Gearbox. He is also keen on electric vehicle manufacturing, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future.
