IEEE Day 2023
IEEE Day is a day of celebration to commemorate the first time in history when engineers worldwide and IEEE members gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884. The main theme is “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow”. IEEE Day will be hitting its 14th year anniversary on 3rd October 2023. This day is a special occasion which provides a welcoming platform for all IEEE student members to celebrate all that they have accomplished. Head of departments and Advisors will be invited to share their wisdom.
Furthermore, IEEE committee members will also be sharing their involvement in Tech-on-wheels program which promotes STEM not only to city schools but also Rural secondary students. They conducted insightful workshops which gave secondary students in Limbang exposure to microcontrollers. Besides that, we will also provide food and beverages along with many exciting performances to accompany the day. A truly lively event filled with both education and fun.

Prof. Dr. Garenth Lim King Hann
He talked about how important technological advancement and being innovative is for humanity in current time. And how you have to look at the bright side of life. He showcased this by having the audience in the dark at the beginning of the event. And asked everyone to close their eyes and open the eyes once the lights were turned on to imply that it's important to look into the bright future.
