IEEE SB GNITS celebrated IEEE Day Celebrations on 19th October 2023 in GNITS Campus. The event aims to celebrate the achievements of IEEE and its members, and to promote awareness of the IEEE student branch contributions to the field of technology. A technical talk was given by Mr. Bala Prasad Peddigari on the topic “Trends driven by Digital Superpowers.” Speaker: Mr. P. Bala Prasad, Past-Execom member, IEEE Hyderabad Section,
Chief Innovation Officer and Global Head - Technology Advisory Services, Technology, Software and Services Business Group.The talk was a great forum for students to learn about upskilling themselves in the latest technological trends. The speaker has delved into various topics like Generative AI,5G, Multi-Edge and Metaverse. The emergence of the metaverse blurs physical and digital realities, offering immersive experiences and novel opportunities are the take away points of the session.The celebrations also featured “Group Discussions” conducted for students which helped them immensely in improving their communication skills and enable structured thinking. A project expo along with "Sustainable house" prototype, “Sustainable Ink/Pen” stall was also set-up which helped students become more aware on the importance of sustainability. Various games stalls were also set-up by students which has really added joy to the celebrations.
