IEEE DAY'23
Summary
IEEE Day'23 was a two-day event on October 3rd and 4th at Dawood University Karachi. The event was organized by IEEE-DUET STUDENT BRANCH and brought together technology enthusiasts, students, and professionals for a memorable and enlightening experience. We had 500 attendees and 165 participants. The event included a panel discussion on the Metaverse, academic competitions, engaging games, and an active membership drive, creating a dynamic platform for technology enthusiasts to connect and learn.

Biography:
He is the Professor Emeritus, Faculty of Electrical, Electronics, & Computer Engineering, and Advisor Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET) Jamshoro. He has varied teaching and research experience of more than 3 decades in diversified fields such as Electronics, Telecommunication, Microprocessor Technology, Internet of Things, Telemedicine, Wireless sensor networks, ICT, Intelligent instrumentation etc. After completing his first degree in Electronic engineering discipline in 1983 with first class first position, he joined MUET as a faculty member.

Latest development, Trends & Challenges faced by Young Engineers
Biography:
Muhammad Zakir Shaikh, faculty member and a PhD Student of Mehran University has demonstrated his academic excellence and visionary leadership by becoming a finalist and most featured participant in the prestigious Global Youth Convention 2023. He was selected as the Fully Funded Global Scholar to speak at the Global Youth Convention 2023, Casablanca, Morocco. In total, only 25 Global Scholars were selected from the whole world after a detailed scrutiny which comprised of various competitions and different selection phases, and he was the only one to be selected as Fully Funded Global Scholar from Pakistan. He was also given an honor to deliver his speech on the importance of Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development Goals. He also delivered the talk on How to make this World a better place for everyone.
