Dr. Vijay Pratap Singh Dr. Vijay Pratap Singh

Biography:

Dr. Vijay Pratap Singh obtained his M. Tech. and Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from Motilal. 
Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, in 2011 and 2017. Presently, he is working 
as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Rajkiya Engineering 
College Sonbhadra, India. Apart from his academic responsibilities, Dr. Singh has many 
administrative duties. Presently, he is heading the Incubation centre as a 
Professor Inchagre, President of the Institute Innovation Council (IIC), Chief Proctor, OC 
Electrical Maintenance of REC Sonbhadra. Before joining REC Sonbhadra as an Assistant 
Professor Dr. Singh Worked with Thapar University Patiala, Punjab, as an Assistant Professor from 
July 2017 to DEC 2017. 
He has more than eight years of teaching experience. His research interests include robust 
control applications in load frequency control and power quality in distributed generations, 
innovative grid technologies, demand response and renewable energy resources.  
Administrative Contribution at Rajkiya Engineering College Sonbhadra: 
• Prepared a DPR and necessary documents for the establishment of an Incubation Center and 
coordinated with Startin up Team (1.3 Cr from University+ 1.5 Cr from Startin UP, UP 
Government) 
Status: Established on 02 May 2022 
• Prepared a DPR for installing 400 KW solar on the grid system on campus. 
Status: Approved UPNEDA (Amount: 1.0 Cr.) 
Presently, Dr. Singh is supervising 04 PhD students, of which 03 are at the submission stage. Dr. 
Singh has supervised MTech students and more than 30 B. Tech students for their project 
work. 
Dr Singh has published more than 35 papers in International Journals (15 SCI and conferences) 
such as in IEEE Transactions with more than 10 Impact factors and other SCI journals and 
conferences. He is a Co-Editor of the Book Computing Algorithms with Applications in 
Engineering (Springer 2020).  
Dr Singh has received the “Best Teacher award-2020” on the auspicious occasion of Teachers Day 
by AKTU Lucknow. Dr. Singh has also received an amount of 200 USD from the IEEE Power 
Energy Society, Thailand, for the best PhD student to present a paper in ISGT ASIA in 2015. 
Dr. Singh has received more than 15 Lac funding from various agencies for organizing 
conferences / industrial conclaves/ FDP, etc. Dr. Singh has completed one sponsored 
project on integrated renewable energy management. 
B. Tech Project Students under my supervision have won the First Price (Rs. 3000/-) at District 
level Sonbhadra and Mirzapur Mandal Level (Rs. 8000/-) for project title Dynamic Electric 
Vehicle Charging System on National Science Day celebration by UP Government.  
Dr. Singh has organized many international conferences and also served as an organiser. 
Committee Member of “International Conference on Electronics & Electrical Engineering” 
(ICEEE SEOUL 2021) in Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Singh chaired a session at the IEEE. 
Conference ISGT ASIA-2015, Nov 04-06, Thailand, and Bangkok. 
Dr. Singh is an Editorial board member of the Journal of Electronics and Advanced Electrical. 
Engineering and International Egyptian Engineering and Technology Journal (IEETJ) and 
reviewer of reputed journals such as IEEE Transaction on Sustainable Energy, IEEE Transaction 
of Industrial Informatics, IET GTD, Electric Power System Research, International Journal of 
Electrical Energy System, etc. Dr. Singh has delivered many invited talks & keynote speakers in 
various international conferences and Faculty Development programs held in different 
reputed institutions in this country.
