Quantum computing in the age of ChatGPT
IEEE Computer Society - San Diego Chapter
2023 Invited Seminar Series: Lecture 9
In this colloquium talk, I briefly introduce the basics of quantum computing and the state-of-the-art of the technology. I then define the notion of quantum advantage and use a canonical problem to elaborate how quantum speedup shows up in algorithms. Finally, I propose a thought process for finding high value use-cases for quantum computers given the recent advancement in classical machine learning with a few specific examples.
