In this talk, we will discuss the design and implementation of the “Chat IEEE Standards” plugin, a tool being developed as part of IEEE industry engagement to improve access to IEEE Standards Association documents using ChatGPT — enhancing accuracy and the user experience, while maintaining the security and integrity of IEEE’s gated proprietary information. The talk will also cover the business implications and thinking motivating the building of such a tool and how this strategy can help IEEE businesses.

Matt Scott of Malong Technologies
Biography:
Matt Scott has 20 years of AI/ML research and engineering experience at Microsoft Research and his co-founded startup, Malong Technologies. He has published 35+ AI/ML papers with 6,000+ citations, 100+ international patents, and has won multiple paper awards and technology prizes from organizations including CVPR, ICCV, Microsoft Research, and Google Research. Matthew has led the development of award-winning AI/ML technologies shipped to hundreds of millions of users worldwide. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and the Vice Chair of the IEEE Industry Engagement Committee Software Tools Working Group.
