Christopher Sanderson, SMIEEE of IEEE, NSBE, SHPE
Biography:
Christopher graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology and a military Officer Commission in the United States Army Air Defense Artillery Core in 1995. His military service in the United States Army Reserves expanded both the Enlisted and Officer ranks. His military accommodations include numerous Medals and other citations. He finished his distinguished career with two Honorable Tours of Duty in the US Army and then went to work for Schneider Electric (formerly Square D – Group Schneider). Christopher’s business leadership experience includes key corporate opportunities from several Fortune 500 corporations with a global presence in the electrical industry. He has worked for companies like Schneider Electric (formerly Square D), General Electric (GE), SIEMENS Energy & Automation (SEA), Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), Atlas Copco, and now EATON.
He holds several positions within IEEE, past R5 Houston Section Chair, R5 South Area Chair, Committee Member of the IEEE Foundation 50th Anniversary Committee, IEEE Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) Board of Directors Region 5 & 6 Representative, IEEE EAB TryEngineering Committee, and past IEEE Admission and Advancement (A&A) Committee member and past IEEE-USA Career & Development Committee (CPCD) Chair and is the 2024-2026 R5 Director Elect.
As the incoming R5 Director-Elect, he serves which represents over 20,000 members and 7 Sections in the state of Texas.
