Training Workshop on Generative AI
This is an interactive workshop to be delivered by two trainers from Microsoft New Zealand. It would be delivered as a hybrid event: in-person for NZ participants at Auckland University of Technology (city campus); and online for remote participants from Australia via Zoom.
This workshop is free for VTS members, and would cost $19 NZD for non-VTS members. IEEE members (including student members) who do not have VTS membership are highly encouraged to sign up for one here to attend this and future member-only events for free.
In this workshop, the participants will learn the basics of Generative AI and their various use cases, the concepts of Prompt Engineering for enhancing AI-powered applications, and the skills of using GitHub Copilot with Visual Studio Code for AI-assisted software development.
The workshop has four 45-min sessions with 10-to-30-min breaks in between (total 4 hours). Refreshments and light lunch will be provided to in-person attendees.
