Bob Becnal, PE,  will focus on the PE requirements, needs, and applications in the engineering profession.

Biography:

Bob is a Professional Engineer and currently serves as IEEE Region 5 Director.

Bob Becnel is an Associate Technical Fellow with The Boeing Company in St. Louis.  He has a focus on autonomous command and control communications.  Since joining Boeing in 2005, Bob has been active in a broad range of communication and sensor systems.  Previously, he was a Member of the Technical Staff at Lucent Technologies, where he was engaged in the design of large communication networks and has nearly 30 years of professional experience.  Bob is a Professional Engineer with the State of Missouri and a Fellow with the National Society of Professional Engineers. Bob holds a B.S.Co.E. and B.S.E.E. from The University of Missouri and a M.S.E.E. from Washington University in St. Louis.  Bob has been an adjunct instructor for several years at Washington University.  Bob is married and has two adult daughters, one of whom is on the Region 5 Executive Committee.  He and his wife Verla live in Imperial, MO.
