Dalian’s Smart City Construction

China has more than 500 cities in the construction of smart cities, China's smart city market still has an immense potential and development prospects. Dalian, as one of the first pilot cities, competed for the World Smart City Award with its newly built "One Network Unified Management" platform under the title of "Digital Empowerment for Urban Governance and Technology Leads the Future of Bin Cheng City", and was selected as a finalist for the Global Smart City China Award out of 126 projects submitted by 44 cities. It was one of three cities shortlisted for the Livability and Inclusion Award in the China region of Global Smart Cities. We will show you how Dalian is gradually realizing this initiative through City Intelligent Infrastructure Construction, Public Management Intelligent Construction, Livelihood Service Intelligent Construction, and Economic Development Intelligent Construction. This new system is aimed to let the city know how to think and govern more efficiently, so that precise governance can cover every corner of the city and help the digital transformation of the city and the improvement of the efficiency of urban governance. Dalian will keep striving to establish a continuous, efficient, integrated, and open ecosystem that creates a smooth and convenient living experience, an efficient transportation system, a vibrant business environment, and an enduring impetus for industrial development, and serves as a source of sustained competitiveness and creativity for the city.
