Raspberry Pi
We are excited to announce that Dr. Derek Schuurman will be giving us a presentation on the capability and functionality of the versatile and powerful Raspberry Pi processor platform, as well as some unique ways he applied it for use in schools in developing countries.
Dr. Schuurman's present role is Visiting Associate Professor of Computer Science at Dordt College. He spent several years working in industry before returning to academia. He enjoys teaching and pursuing his research interests in the area of robotics and computer vision. He is also interested in the bigger picture and the various issues related to faith and computer technology. His research interests include robotics and computer vision as well as faith and technology issues. Professional memberships include: IEEE, ACMS, SIGCSE, CSCA, ASA, and the Christian Engineering Society.
This will be an exciting presentation and a great kickoff for our 2016 section meetings. Mark your calendar, pre-register, and join us on March 22nd.
