Students organized a Workshop on ‘Problem-solving using Java’ under the banner of Newton School Coding Club, Sahyadri

The student club of Sahyadri, the Newton School Coding Club in collabaration with IEEE, organized a workshop on ‘Problem-solving using Java’ for their fellow students. Newton School Coding Club (NSCC) - Sahyadri is a Student Chapter, which aspires to provide the most relevant and contemporary coding culture that is in sync with the industry requirements so that our students can contribute to the club’s success from the very beginning.
The core members of the NSCC Sahyadri team including Chirag A K (President), Ankush Ananth Bhat (Vice-President), Shamanth S Shetty (Technical head), Karthik J (Marketing head), Deeksha P K (Content & P R head), Rashmitha (Webhead), Rakshith A S (Media head) and Akshay Hegde (Design head) from third-year were the resource persons and organizers of the workshop. The workshop was specifically geared towards 1st-year students. Around 130 students from various departments got benefited from the workshop. The major goal of this session was to give newcomers a solid platform on which to build their understanding of coding.The NSCC Sahyadri is mentored by Dr. Mustafa Basthikodi, Professor & Head, Dept. of ISE and CSE (Data Science) and Prof. Bhukya Kranthikumar, Dept. of ISE. The club is focusing on competitive programming training and contest by making use of various advanced tools and technologies. Every Saturday afternoon, the NSCC- Sahyadri will be organizing activities, for its members and all registered students.
