2023 IEEE International Conference on Communications, Networks, and Satellites (COMNETSAT-2923)
The COMNETSAT-2023, is the 12th IEEE International Conference of its kind, a conference which deliberately disseminates research and design works in the field of communications, networking and satellite communications.
This “hybrid” conference has been held in Malang, East Java Province of Indonesia, 23-24 November 2023. The statistics of the contributed papers are as follows : The total number of papers being accepted is 113 out of the total of 235 submitted papers, meaning that the average acceptance ratio is of 48%. Out of this total population, The Data-Science & AI contributes to ~ 49%, followed by Networks & IT of ~ 25%, further by Communications of ~ 20%. Both Broadband & Photonic and Satellite share the same contribution of 3.5% each.
Almost similar with what happened in the last year, we notice that the present Conference has discerned the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence contribution to be the highest in number, seconded by Networks & IT, then by Communications, and finally Broadband & Photonics and Satellites.
It is expected that the upcoming COMNETSAT could enhance the number of contributed papers in Satellites, HAPS, Broadband Wireless and Photonics, as those fields will definitely play even more decisive roles in bringing up the broadband services such as 5G, 6G etc, especially in the less developed world.
There were outstanding contribution of keynote speakers who have addressed their views and wisdoms, to make this conference even more prominent :
1. Prof. Shui Yu (University of Technology Sydney)-“Cybersecurity, Privacy, and the Networking”, 2. Ljiljana Trajkovic (Simon Fraser University, Canada)“ AI/Machine Learning in Communication Networks and Dynamical Systems”. 3. Tarek S. El-Bawab, PhD, FIEEE (American University of Nigeria (AUN), Adamawa) -- “General Picture of Communications Technology Evolution”. 4. CHEE Seng Kee (Keysight Application Development Engineer, on Optical/Photonic Testing Technology).
The Conference is in the process of administrating those above contributed papers to be ready for the IEEEXplore publications.
The COMNETSAT23 was sponsored by Indonesia COMSOC Chapter, Indonesia GRS/AES Joint Chapter, Indonesia Section of IEEE, in collaboration with ITT Purwokerto, ITT Surabaya, and Politeknik Negeri Malang.
The next COMNETSAT24 will be held in Mataram, Lombok Island (near Bali Island), on November 2024.
