On March 15, 2023, the know-the-loop event was held at MIT-WPU campus. The event was conducted by The Indian Hyperloop Committee in collaboration with IEEE, MIT-WPU student chapter.
The purpose of the event was to give attendees a chance to learn more about Hyperloop technology and how it could change how we travel in the future. Many students from various courses, staff members, and transportation enthusiasts attended the event.
The event started with Shivangi Singh, President of IHC, giving a brief overview of the event and the objectives of the Indian Hyperloop Committee (IHC). Dr. Prasad Khandekar's address, which focused on the value of sustainable practices and how Hyperloop technology may help with them, came next. He provided moral as well as technological suggestions for the hyperloop.
The presentation by Prassana Kadambi (CTO Quintrans Hyperloop) on Quintrans Hyperloop, in which he gave an outline of the technology, its advantages, and the difficulties encountered in developing it, was the event's highlight.
Afterward, The MIT-WPU student team Vegapod Hyperloop showcased their technology and several applications for it. They are developing small-scale hyperloop prototypes and upgrading them every day. In order to boost job efficiency, they also briefly outlined how their team works and how it is separated into numerous divisions and sub-departments. IHC then gave a presentation where they talked about their current initiatives and future ambitions.
An expert panel discussion about the effects of Hyperloop technology on the future of transportation marked the event's conclusion. Participants included professionals in the fields of sustainability and transportation. The audience was also given an opportunity to ask questions, and certificates were awarded to the winners. This was followed by the felicitation of Prassana Kadambi, Aniruddha Atigre, Vegapod Hyperloop, and IHC by Sunil Somani Sir (Assistant professor) and R.D Komati Sir (Assistant professor).
