2023 IEEE EDS Malaysia Chapter: Distinguished Lecture Talk with Prof. Simon Deleonibus
IEEE EDS Malaysia Chapter has successfully organised Distinguished Lecturer Talk with prominent speaker Prof. Simon Deleonibus on 8th June 2023 at MIMOS Berhad. The event managed to gather more than 40 attendees from students, academicians and industry. Prof. Simon shared the most anticipated topics: New routes and paradigm for device engineering in the nanoelectronics and nanosystems era. After the DL presentation, we had the industry forum to discuss semiconductor technology and the way forward. The panels for the industry forum were Prof. Simon, Prof. Azrul Azlan Hamzah from Univerity Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Ir. Dr. Nordin Ramli (IEEE Malaysia Section) and Dr. Lee Hing Wah (Head of Dept MIMOS Semiconductor). The event was supported by MIMOS CEO Dr. Iskandar and he had a very fruitful discussion with Prof. Simon regarding Semiconductor Industry technology and the way forward for MIMOS Semiconductor Technology Centre (STC). This event was organized by IEEE EDS Malaysia Chapter and co-organized by MIMOS Berhad. During the event, IEEE EDS Malaysia Chapter Chair also delivered his short presentation to introduce IEEE to the audience. The event also includes a tour of the MIMOS Semiconductor Technology Centre which is the Semiconductor Fabrication Lab, Rnd Fabrication Lab and Failure analysis Lab.
