Jeremiah Soto started as an IT Professional with Boeing IS at China Lake Naval Weapons Center in Ridgecrest, CA. In 1999 he joined Oak Creek Energy Systems and served as Director of IT, contributing to the development, construction, and operation of wind energy projects in the Tehachapi area. During his 11 years at Oak Creek, he worked on several developmental projects for the industry, including TRTP (the Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project) and Alite (world’s first self-regulated wind farm and the largest behind the meter project at the time). In 2010, Jeremiah joined Terra-Gen and is currently Manager of IT and SCADA Systems. He manages the day-to-day operation of SCADA systems on all of Terra-Gen’s wind assets and works directly with the CAISO, SCE and other utilities on new and legacy project integration. Earlier in this role, he served as the lead Project Manager of SCADA system design and engineering for the Alta Wind Energy Center which consists of over 1500MW of wind energy. He remains very active in the industry, working with regulation authorities, manufacturers, and utilities to improve the integration of renewables.
