Excelsior’23
Excelsior’23, IEEE SB GEC Palakkad’s three-day flagship technical event, was conducted on June 2 from 5:00 pm to
june 4 held at Goverment Engineering College Palakkad. The event consists of 3 workshops, 2 technical talks, a nontechnical talk, an ice-breaking session, an interactive session, and a magic show. 52 delegates participated in the
event.
The inauguration ceremony of Excelsior’23 conducted by IEEE SB GEC Palakkad was conducted on June 2 2023 at 5:00 pm
by GEC Palakkad's esteemed Principal Dr. PC Raghuraj in the presence of Mr. Mirzad Makhdoom, Founder and ceo of Tribe
Academy ,Entrepreneur .educator and content Creater, And Mr. Sravan Sudhakaran,Mentalist ,and SB counselor Dr.Vinita
Chellappan . The guests were welcomed by Mr.Pavan G Nair , Chairperson of IEEE SB GEC Palakkad. IEEE code ethics was
presented by SB secretary Ms. Lakshmi Parvati. Ms. Thulasi J Pisharady vice chair of WIE IEEE SB GEC Palakkad briefed the
event for all and the vote of thanks was presented by the chairperson SB counselor Dr.Vinita Chellappan.
On The first day of Excelsior followed by the inauguration ceremony we had a technical talk
session by Mr. Mirzad Makhdoom, Founder and ceo of Tribe Academy ,Entrepreneur .educator and content
Creater He talked about "into the web3verse". The 1-hour long technical talk by the guest was
fruitful for delegates to get a better idea about web3verse
As part of Excelsior’23, three workshops were conducted simultaneously by the CS, IAS,ComSoc Chapters of SB.
Workshops were in different fields and the candidates could choose their preferred workshop as they wanted
CS society organized a workshop on React, led by Rajath KS, a seasoned developer and co-founder of Epoq Zero
LLP. Participants got opportunity to learn modern web development using one of the most popular front-end
frameworks in the industry.
IAS society conducted a workshop on Basics of Arduino and Bluetooth Integration handled by Niyas Salim..
Communication Society conducted a workshop on AutoCAD. Participants got a chance to enhance their
skills in AutoCAD and take their design capabilities to the next level.
Moreover IEEE SB GEC Palakkad conducted ice breaking session, mentalism show by Mr. SravanSudhakaran and non-technical talk on "Abroad Education" by Umadevi Ajayakumar, Senior Academic Counselor, UK Student Helpline as a part of EXCELSIOR'23.
The three-day-long event Excelsior’23 was wrapped with the Closing Ceremony Internship and placement opportunities handled by Mr. Shone Jose, Founder-Freshers ladder,5G and IOT Skilling mentor, Student Activities Chair-IEEE Kerala Section.
Excelsior’23 was a memorable experience filled with valuable insights, lasting connections, and immense personal growth.
