Topic:

Grounding for Electrical Power Systems (Low Resistance and High Resistance System) Design)

This presentation focuses on grounding solutions and addresses the operation and functionality of resistively grounded systems; their associated benefits; the transition to resistively grounded configurations; installation and sizing requirements; the utilization of both Low-Resistance & High-Resistance grounding, by directly referencing IEEE, NEC, and NFPA standards and guidelines.

Biography:

Said is currently a Technical Consulting Engineer for I-Gard Corporation and has been with the company since 2019, where he has been involved in product development, project management, technical support, and consulting. His current scope of work includes assisting consultants in identifying optimal grounding solutions specific to their application; being a technical reference for Engineers and end users. Before then, Said sought his BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, where he specialized in Power Engineering.
