Sam Cercone
Biography:
Sam Cercone - As president and co-founder of Brightline Inc., Sam holds multiple patents in lighting fixture and system designs. His illustrious career includes the system design of numerous broadcast studio facilities and start-up networks, such as the launch of the QVC Network and TV Food Network. At Brightline, Sam has been involved with thousands of installations in broadcast networks and other video environments, like Google and The White House Situation Room.
Sam was a key player in the energy-efficient lighting initiative that gained momentum in the late 80s and early 90s, and extremely instrumental in eroding the initial resistance toward fluorescent studio lighting technology. His celebrated work with Peter Jennings at ABC World News helped convince ABC and other networks that the new technology was indeed viable and the ROI, impressive. During the last decade, Sam has pioneered new fixture designs that embrace LED technology, further enhancing efficiencies. Like the bulldogs that he raises and loves, Sam shares the traits of persistence, strength and stamina—critical for success in today’s demanding, competitive world of specialty lighting manufacturing.
