IEEE DELHI SECTION WIE AG in Collaboration with Hitachi Energy Shiksha Foundation

Dr. Rashmi Agarwal, an Associate Professor at the university and Chair of the Women in Engineering (WIE) Delhi Section, illuminated a groundbreaking collaboration with Hitachi Energy, emphasizing the selection of ten exceptional students from the university's Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering Departments in the National Capital Region (NCR). These chosen students, representing J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, Netaji Subhash University of Technology, and the National Institute of Technology, have been granted laptops to bolster their technical education.

The chosen students were:

3 students from J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA (jcbose)

3 from Netaji Subhash University of Technoloogy

3 from National Institute of Technology

This impactful event was orchestrated spontaneously by Dr. Shivani Sharma, who played a pivotal role in securing support from Hitachi Energy to identify and assist financially disadvantaged students. The occasion was further distinguished by the esteemed presence of Dr. Anuradha Tomar from NSUT, Delhi.

Under the umbrella of this collaborative program, the selected students are poised to receive comprehensive benefits, including skill enhancement training, assistance with internships and job opportunities, and a four-year mentorship. This holistic strategy is designed to nurture their inherent talents, augment their capabilities, and furnish them with the requisite skills for excellence in their respective fields.

The collaborative Women in Engineering (WIE) Program, supported by Hitachi Energy, strives to narrow the gender gap in engineering, empowering women by offering vital support and resources for a diverse and inclusive community.
