Distributed Operation Technology of Active Distribution Network
IEEE BJTU SBC organized a "Master Face-to-Face" event on May 29, 2023. This event focused on "Frontier Research in the Field of Smart Grids" and specially invited Associate Professor Xia Shiwei from North China Electric Power University to deliver a cutting-edge academic report for the faculty students, titled "Distributed Operation Technology of Active Distribution Network".
Over 300 electrical engineering students attended Professor Xia Shiwei's excellent report and participated in online interactive exchanges. The event was a complete success.

Biography:
Dr. Xia Shiwei is an Associate Professor at North China Electric Power University and a Visiting Scholar at the Robert W. Galvin Center for Electricity Innovation at Illinois Institute of Technology.
His main research interests include the analysis and optimization of new power systems for stability, and emerging technologies in the integration of energy and transportation.
Dr. Xia has led over eight provincial and ministerial level projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation, sub-projects of the National Key Research and Development Program, and the Beijing Municipal Natural Science Foundation. He has also participated in one major project of the National Natural Science Foundation, three special projects of the National Key Research and Development Program, projects funded by the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong, and a joint fund project of National Natural Science - Smart Grid. He has published over a hundred academic papers and holds more than ten patents for inventions. Dr. Xia serves as an assistant or associate editor for journals such as "IET Smart Grid" and "Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems". He is a member of the Excellent Undergraduate Education Team of Beijing Universities and has been recognized as an Outstanding Talent of Beijing. Additionally, he is a Senior Member of IEEE.
