IEEE VCE STB (02391) in collaboration with the IEEEPhotonics Society and IEEE PES & Energy Society of our college organized a two-day Vidyut on 24thMarch2023 at the 3rd block Lobby,VCE.
Inauguralsession:
The inaugural session held at Vardhaman College of Engineering on 24th March 2023 at 10:00 AM, the esteemed gathering witnessed a confluence of academic brilliance and intellectual prowess. The session, graced by distinguished guests and eminent faculty, set the tone for an academic journey filled with inspiration and innovation. The event commenced with a warm welcome to all attendees, including students, faculty members, and special guests followed by an Expert talk. After that, welcomed Dr. MD Asif (Professor & Head of the EEEdepartment), Dr.N.Karuppiah, Dr. S. Ravi Varman, and Dr. Hari Shankar Jain to the dais to light the lampfollowedby a prayer songsung byMiss. Sanjana Arvind of II CSE (AIML).
This event offers participants the opportunity to engage in two distinct modes, each tailored to provide a unique and enriching experience. Dr. T. Anuradha Devi gavetheintroductiontotheguestspeakersof the two-day Vidyut.Afterward, respected people inthedaisgavetheirinauguralspeech.
Day1:
On the 1st day offline, a remarkable event took place at Vardhaman College of Engineering, featuring the presentations of both hardware and software projects. Students from Vardhaman College of Engineering and various other colleges from Telangana participated in this event, showcasing their innovative ideas and projects. The event was conducted in offline mode, providing a platform for students to present their work in person.Vardhaman College of Engineering stood out with an impressive array of projects. Among the submissions, the college presented 6 hardware projects, 29 simulation projects, and 9 projects focusing on social innovation. Other colleges from Telangana also contributed significantly, presenting 13 hardware projects and 7 simulation projects.
The review of the projects took place with a distinguished panel of judges from various engineering disciplines. The panel included:

The panel, comprising experts in their respective fields, ensured a comprehensive evaluation of the projects.
After evaluation, the winners were: Alluri Sowmya Reddy, Gattu Pavan Kumar, Thota Sai Siddartha, and Gosh Mahal Swetha from Vardhaman College of Engineering EEE department for their simulation project on photovoltaic systems. They won first prize for excellence in project execution and innovation.The event provided a platform for students to showcase talents, promoted healthy competition and collaboration, and the expert judges added prestige through recognition of outstanding projects
Day2:
On the second day of the online event, students from both hardware and software disciplines showcased their innovative projects through presentations. Remarkably, participants hailed from various states and different colleges, adding a diverse and enriching dimension to the event. A total of 14 projects were submitted by students representing different colleges from across the country. These projects reflected a wide range of topics and demonstrated the participants' prowess in both hardware and software domains. The online format facilitated seamless collaboration and participation from students who otherwise might not have been able to attend in person due to geographical constraints.
The event incorporated a comprehensive review process for evaluating the submitted projects. Two distinguished judges, Dr. Patil Mounica and Dr. T. Anuradha Devi, brought their expertise to assess the projects. Their extensive knowledge in the respective fields ensured a fair and insightful evaluation of the student's work. The online mode of the event allowed for a dynamic exchange of ideas and insights. It provided a platform for students to not only showcase their projects but also engage in discussions with peers and experts from different states. This format encouraged networking and collaboration among students and professionals, fostering a sense of unity within the academic community. The diverse range of projects and the expertise of the judges contributed to the overall success of the event, making it a valuable and memorable experience for all participants. The online platform proved to be an effective medium for connecting students and professionals from various locations, reinforcing the idea that knowledgeand innovation know no geographical boundaries.
After the evaluation was completed, they announced the winners:First place was awarded to Gokulraja C, Pradeep Raj P, and Vasanth V of 4th year EEE from K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology, Tamil Nadu for their project "Independent Scientist Satellite".Second place was awarded to Thiruvarulselvan K, Thison J, and Yukesh Chandran M of 4th year EEE from Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu for their project "Design and Development of Data Acquisition and Recovery System for Sounding Rockets".
