Battle of Beliefs
The IEEE Student Branch BVDUCOE Pune conducted a debate on the salvo of the fest ‘BHARTIYAM’ dated 22 Feb 2024. The debate aimed to make the students aware of the technology.
The anchoring of the event was done by Paramveer, Chairperson of IEEE SB BVUCOEP. The event started with an ‘Ice-Breaker’ round in which all contestants were divided into two groups with the motion and against the motion and had a healthy debate on the topic ‘Superheroes should have to pay for the “collateral” damage they cause.’ After the ‘Ice-Breaker’ round our debate got started on topics ‘Do technologies serve to decrease crime or facilitate criminal activities’ and ‘Which is more preferable economic form Socialism or Capitalism? and Existentialism: Do we need philosophy as a defensive source of human nature?’. The debate on each topic was divided into three rounds. In the first round, every contestant was given time to put their points, in the second round each team had their constructive speeches and rebuttals alternate, and in the last round, each group had their constructive speech. Further, the doubts of students were cleared by Dr. Dimple Pal Madam.
