Visit to Cochlear – Mechelen
Join the IEEE Benelux Section Life Members Affinity Group on a visit to Cochlear in Mechelen, Belgium—an exploration of the world's leading cochlear implant manufacturer. Cochlear’s implants help numerous people, to hear again, who would otherwise be isolated from communication. With a rich history spanning five decades, this visit showcases the strong collaboration between Flanders and Australia. Attendees will engage in enlightening presentations on Cochlear's groundbreaking multidisciplinary technologies encompassing direct neural stimulation, biology, surgery, digital signal processing, ultra-low power SoC design, human auditory perception etc. and participate in immersive lab visits, gaining firsthand insights into the intricate processes behind their pioneering solutions.
Participation to this event is free of charge for members of IEEE. Please register by preference on this vTools webpage or by sending an email to LMAG secretary Kees van ‘t Klooster C.G.v.t.Klooster@tue.nl before 23 February 2024. The amount of participants is limited to 40. Registrations will be handled in a first come first serve principle.
In this event pictures and videos could be recorded for use in reports and publications on the event and IEEE LMAG activities. In case you do not agree to be photographed or appear on videos recorded, please indicate this explicitly via email together with this registration to the IEEE Benelux Section LMAG secretary: Kees van 't Klooster C.G.v.t.Klooster@tue.nl at least one day before the event starts.
