Note:  This event is open to University Full-Time Students Only

10th, 17th, and 24th of September 2016 (Consecutive Saturdays), 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Registration starts at 8:30am.

Engineering Building – Room E152
University of Michigan Dearborn, Room 1180HPEC
4901 Evergreen Rd, Dearborn MI 48128

IEEE Region4, South East Michigan Computer Chapter, is offering a hands-on training on embedded software to current full-time students attending any University in the Southeastern Michigan Area, and that are interested in learning about embedded software design techniques from industry perspective. The lectures are distributed in three days (Saturdays) combined with different lab sessions to put into practice the concepts learned during the class. The class is open to IEEE members and non-members students, and it is limited to 20 students total.

Course Objectives:

  • Students will learn the principal concepts of embedded software in MCU-based systems and will understand the main aspects of design and development of embedded software projects in modern applications
  • To understand a layered software architecture as a design methodology in embedded systems design, and to create and integrate software components within the architecture

Prerequisites: Basic Knowledge on C language (important) and assembly language(desired)

Currently food service is not provided.  Check back here later for updates.
