Ipsita Mohanty

Biography:

Ipsita Mohanty is a Principal ML Engineer at Salesforce, working on several key product and research initiatives. She has a Master of Information Systems Management degree from Heinz College of CMU. Prior to her Masters' program, Ipsita worked as an Associate for six years, developing trading and machine learning algorithms at Goldman Sachs in their Global Market Division at Bengaluru & London locations. She has published work on Natural Language Understanding, and her research work spans disciplines of computer science, deep learning, and human psychology.

Mrinal Karvir

Biography:

Mrinal is a Senior AI Software Engineering Manager at Intel Corporation. She leads engineering for Intel Developer Cloud for the Edge, which allows instant remote access to deploy AI applications on the latest Intel hardware and software platforms. The Edge AI and Vision Alliance named DevCloud a 2020 Vision Product of the Year. Mrinal has managed teams that developed innovative solutions in AI and led the development of the world's first presence-aware PC experience with Intel Context Sensing Technology, which won an innovation award at CES 2019. She is an ethical AI champion and provides leadership and clarity on responsible AI practices. She strives to create awareness and champion the cause through talks, panel discussions, and courses at forums such as SWE's Advance Learning Center, Embedded Vision Summit, IEEE Conference on Artificial Intelligence, and more. Mrinal is an IEEE Senior Member and serves as the Secretary and Board of Governors for the IEEE Computer Society. She also serves as Vice Chair for the IEEE Santa Clara Valley Women in Engineering chapter, to build a strong community of technical women. She volunteers as an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) Program Evaluator for Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Data Science programs to improve the quality of education.

Andreea Munteanu is a Product Manager at Canonical, leading the MLOps area. With a background in Data Science in various industries, she used AI techniques to enable enterprises to benefit from their initiatives and make data-driven decisions. Nowadays, Andreea is looking to help enterprises to get started with their AI projects and then deploy them to production, using open-source, stable solutions.


Nathalie Baracaldo

Biography:

Ph.D. Manager of AI Security and Privacy Solutions, Senior Research Scientist, IBM Master Inventor. Nathalie is passionate about delivering machine learning solutions that are highly accurate, withstand adversarial attacks and protect data privacy. She is also the primary investigator for the DARPA program “Guaranteeing AI Robustness Against Deception” (GARD). As part of this program we extend the Adversarial Robustness Toolbox (ART), which is an open-source project that received the Linux Foundation AI & Data Foundation graduation distinction. Nathalie co-edited the book “Federated Learning: A Comprehensive Overview of Methods and Applications” Springer, 2022. Nathalie received her Ph.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh, USA in 2016.
