Bill Kwinn will present his experiences in buying and using commercially installed Tesla solar panels, Tesla power wall backup batteries, a Volkswagen fully electric car and a level 2 charging station. He will discuss the decisions, costs and policies. The solar equipment has been giving excellent service over 5 years. The car is a few months old. He hopes you may feel enlightened and encouraged and may benefit from his experiences.

Biography:

Bill Kwinn received his B.S in Physics from the University of Notre Dame, his M.S. in Physics and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Iowa State University. He worked for Hewlett Packard on many projects including microcode for the Focus CPU, software for LISP on a workstation, Softbench (a software development environment), infrastructure and automated testing.

As far as hobbies, Bill sings with the Larimer Chorale ( since 1978), am the photographer for the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society ( RMCATOS..org), and helped folks with setting up Hauptwerk for their home digital pipe organs.
