UL 1741/ IEEE 1547 Test Items and New Coming Fault Ride Through for Grid-Connected New Energy Test Requirement

NERC report recommends that IEEE 1547 be modified to incorporate voltage and frequency ride-through requirements (VRT and FRT, or collectively V/FRT).  IEEE Standard 1547 is presently being amended.

Biography:

Brian Hsu Graduated with a MS in Mechanical Engineering Automation Control. Brian has worked in new energy and automation test field over 15 years. First testing and designing Fuel Cell Hybrid test system in fuel cell company later became an Application Engineering Manager in National Instrument for helping companies develop test and measurement solution. He has four patents for power management, electrical energy and hybrid system development.

 

Brian joined AC Power Corp. in June 2013; his current position is the product marketing manager for North America. In this position, Brian covers Industrial, Military/Aerospace, and New Energy Sales and Marketing in North America of their parent company from AC Power Corp. in Taiwan. Working with system integrators, manufactures, research labs, schools, and certification labs for solving test power requirements, EMC power, New Energy testing solutions and military grade power solutions.
