Alumni Integration-Industry Academia Summit
The Alumni Integration-Industry Academia Summit 24 was conducted at Bangalore Institute of Technology with great enthusiasm and participation from various stakeholders including industry experts, alumni, faculty members, and students. The event aimed to foster collaboration between academia and industry, facilitate alumni interaction, showcase student projects, and provide guidance for career placements. IEEE BIT Student Branch had setup their stall on 23rd and 24th February, 2024.
The summit served as a dynamic platform for alumni to reconnect with their Alma mater, share industry experiences, and offer insights to current students through panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions. Alongside, students showcased diverse projects spanning robotics, AI, renewable energy, etc., presenting their skills to industry professionals and alumni. Representatives from leading companies engaged in interactive sessions, discussing career opportunities, trends, and offering feedback on student profiles. Esteemed industry experts delivered keynote speeches and workshops, equipping attendees with essential knowledge and skills to thrive in the fast-paced industry landscape.
The IEEE student branch of Bangalore Institute of Technology curated an engaging stall, serving as a focal point for attendees. Showcasing events, initiatives and workshops conducted over the years, the stall provided a comprehensive glimpse into the branch's vibrant activities. Through captivating displays and interactive activities, such as quizzes and demonstrations, the stall effectively captured the interest and attention of visitors. Attendees were drawn to the stall's energetic atmosphere, where they could learn about the branch's contributions to technology and innovation within the college community.
To inject some excitement into the summit, we organized a quiz at the IEEE stall. It was a chance for people to test their knowledge on topics like technology and current events. Participants eagerly joined in, answering questions and competing for prizes. Winners were awarded with exciting goodies. We also held a lucky draw, adding another layer of anticipation and excitement to the event. Robotic Hand Project Display: A standout exhibit at the summit was a project developed by seniors— a robotic hand capable of displaying various hand symbols used for testing purposes. This project demonstrated the innovative capabilities of students and garnered significant interest from attendees.
The Industry Institute and Alumni Integration Summit 24 was a resounding success, providing a platform for meaningful interactions between academia, industry, and alumni.
