Abstract
The Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) is the use of internet of things technologies in manufacturing. Discussion will touch on how IIOT is changing manufacturing and some of the key challenges such as security, safety and IT/OT convergence
Biography:
Stan Frady isanapplicationengineer with more than 10 years of experience in low and medium voltage motor control. His project experienceranges from mine expansion and waste water treatment plant upgradesto the Panama Canal expansionproject. Mr. Frady earned a Master’s degree in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering withaconcentration in MechatronicsfromNorth Carolina State University. He works in Eaton’sArden, NC office.
PDH Credit
This IEEE WNC Section presentation qualifies for one Professional Development Hour credits (PDH). The process is as follows:
- Attend the monthly technical meeting.
- Sign in on the official attendance roster that will be available for all who need the continuing education PDH credits
- Complete an IEEE Continuing Education Course Evaluation form before leaving the meeting and return to the WNC officer conducting the meeting.
The WNC Section will send the completed forms to IEEE and certificates will be mailed to each qualified participant.
