Senior Member Grade Elevation Clinic

In order to help IEEE Members with the grade elevation process, the Rochester Section will be hosting a grade elevation clinic. This free event will provide hands-on grade elevation process guidance and will also enable personal and professional networking amongst IEEE members from the various IEEE Technical Societies and affinity groups. Senior member is the highest grade for which IEEE members can apply. IEEE members can self-nominate, or be nominated, for Senior member grade.  To be eligible for application or nomination, candidates must:

  • be engineers, scientists, educators, technical executives, or originators in IEEE-designated fields;

  • have experience reflecting professional maturity;

  • have been in professional practice for at least ten years;

  • show significant performance over a period of at least five of their years in professional practice.

  • provide three references from current IEEE members holding Senior Member, Fellow, or Honorary Member grade.

Your professional colleagues are your best source of these references.  This can be accomplished by attending Section meetings and network with Senior members and Fellows in your area. At this event you will have opportunities to network with potential higher grade members to support your application. The presentation will follow at 6:00 pm. Refreshments, compliments of the IEEE Rochester Section, will be available.
