Biography:
Prof. S. Jit is a senior Professor (HAG) in the Department of Electronics Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, INDIA. He has served as the Head of the Department (April 2015-May 2018), Chairman, Senate Post Graduate Committee (SPGC) (Academic sessions 2013-14 & 2014-15), and Coordinator, Computer Centre, Banaras Hindu University (Feb 2012-March 2014). He has supervised 33 Ph.D. theses, published 2015 research articles in reputed SCI/SCIE/Scopus Indexed international journals (including 86 in the IEEE), and authored/coauthored/edited 06 books. He is the recipient of the INSA Visiting Fellowship in 2006; Postdoctoral Research Fellowship from Georgia State University, USA in 2007 and; the BOYSCAST Fellowship of the DST, Govt. of India in 2011. He is a Fellow of the West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology (WAST), IET(UK); IETE (India) and IE (India); and Senior Member of the IEEE (USA). He is the recipient of the IETE-Prof. SVC Aiya Memorial Award in 2023. Prof. Jit is an Editor of the IETE Journal of Research, and Associate Editors of the IET Micro & Nano Letters and Journal of Electronic Materials (Springer).
