Summer school FRI 2023
The Faculty of Computer and Information Science of the University of Ljubljana (UL FRI) this year during the summer school holidays organizes the 16th Summer School FRI.
The 5-day workshops of the Summer School FRI will cover various fields of computer science and informatics, and will be held at the beginning of the summer holidays, between June 26 and June 30, and between July 3 and July 7, 2023, from 9:00 to 15:00.
This year's workshops are suitable only for elementary school students from the 7th grade onwards, and of course for all high school students.
Workshops from June 26 to June 30:
- Program Your Minecraft City; 7th to 9th grade primary school (workshop leader: Matevž Pesek)
- From Internet of Things to Drones; 7th to 9th grade primary school and high school students (workshop leader: Aleš Jaklič)
- Programming in High Gear; high school students (workshop leader: Andrej Brodnik)
- Basics of Python Programming; high school students (workshop leader: Luka Fürst)
Workshop in the period from July 3 to July 7:
- VR - Virtual Reality; high school students (workshop leader: Matevž Pesek)
Short descriptions of individual workshops and general workshop conditions are published on the Summer School FRI website.
Applications are open from Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 10:00 am, and will be open until Tuesday, April 25, 2023, until 10:00 am (link to the application form).
Preference will be given to those who have not yet had the opportunity to attend the Summer School FRI and have applied for a workshop suitable for their age. In case there are more such applicants who meet these limitations, the acceptance will be decided by drawing lots.
