The IEEE Student Branch (STB) at ZHCET hosted an enlightening Orientation Ceremony at the Assembly Hall of the main building on campus. The event commenced with Mariam and Sidra warmly welcoming attendees and introducing the IEEE student branch, followed by a recitation from the Quran, setting a serene tone for the proceedings. The event was further carried out by other anchors: Saeem and Anaum.

Distinguished guests, including Prof. Mohammad Altamush Siddiqui, Dean of the Engineering College; Prof. M.M. Sufyan Beg, esteemed Principal of ZHCET; and Mr. Mohammad Zaid from the Electrical Engineering Department, delivered insightful speeches. They emphasized the numerous benefits of IEEE membership, highlighting its value in enriching students' academic and professional development. The event featured additional esteemed speakers such as Prof. Naushad Alam from the Electronics Engineering Department and Prof. Saleem Anwar from the Mechanical Engineering Department. Their encouragement for students to enrol in the IEEE student branch resonated throughout the audience, inspiring many to leap into this vibrant community.

Furthermore, awards were presented to participants who excelled in various events hosted by the IEEE student branch during the 2023-2024 session. The recipients included individuals who participated in CaptureMania 2.0, Literaquest, Poster Making & Presentation Competition, Pitch Perfect, Robo Mind Rendezvous, ML and Robotics Quiz.

Notably, Saim, Chairperson Computer Society, was honored with the prestigious Darrel Chong Award for his outstanding contribution to Amu Rovc 2.0. Rehma Manal Rizvi, Chairperson WIE affinity group, also received the best student branch award. IEEE STB ZHCET ORIENTATION CEREMONY. Moreover, the event saw the release of newsletters from the IEEE STB, WIE (Women in Engineering) Affinity Group, Computer Society, and RAS (Robotics and Automation Society), showcasing the diverse range of activities and initiatives undertaken by these societies

Mr. Mohammad Hashir, the esteemed Chairperson of the IEEE Student Branch was acknowledged and awarded for his exemplary leadership, receiving the accolade for the Best Membership Retention. The presence of the Dean of the Engineering Department added further significance to the occasion. The Orientation Ceremony concluded with an interactive session, fostering dialogue and camaraderie among attendees, reflecting the spirit of collaboration and innovation championed by the IEEE STB ZHCET.

Overall, the event served as a platform to ignite enthusiasm and engagement among students, reaffirming the commitment of ZHCET to nurturing intellectual curiosity and excellence in engineering education.
