Time Management Workshop
One of the biggest challenges in the modern world is managing our time efficiently, especially for BME students who often face the problem of time pressure. To address this problem, our SBC has organized a lecture to provide practical guidance on the principles of time management, helping students to manage their time more purposefully and efficiently. The speaker was Dr István Vokony. The speaker stressed the importance of time management, highlighting the importance of setting priorities, managing objectives and deadlines, and methods to overcome procrastination. The presentation pointed out that the first step in time management is to be aware of what really matters to you.
He demonstrated the effectiveness of planning and organizing through weekly and daily planning exercises. The speaker placed particular emphasis on the fact that finding a balance between life circumstances and study commitments is essential for successful time management. In addition, self-motivation and perseverance, as well as setting goals and planning to achieve them, were also important elements of the discussion.
The speaker stressed that self-determination and self-confidence are key to the successful application of time management strategies.
Participants learned how to set realistic goals and how to trust their own abilities to achieve them.
To harness the power of modern technology, Dr. Vokony demonstrated the most popular calendar managers, task managers, time management applications and effective ways to manage email. He stressed that these tools can make it much easier to organize daily tasks and meet deadlines.
In the concluding part of the presentation, Dr. Vokony used practical examples to illustrate the industrial applications of time management, stressing that the methods learned can be applied not only in personal but also in professional life.
The lecture "Time Management" not only provided theoretical knowledge but also gave us concrete tools to manage our time more effectively.
