National Science Day Celebrations - Some Reflections
brought to you by IEEE WiE Bangalore section Affinity Group and Council on Electronic Design Automation CEDA Bangalore Section Chapter.
The focus shall be the Theme for 2024 “Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat”. - The accomplishments of Indian scientists in addressing challenges through home-grown technologies for a future ready India, marking a new era presenting an opportunity for the public and scientific fraternity, to collaborate.
We plan to call on board our section Chair Dr Srinivas T and distinguished speakers who have witnessed the changes and shall deliberate on the impact.
Biography:
P.Vimala received her B.E and M.E degrees, both in electronics and communication engineering from Anna University, Chennai. She completed her Ph.D. degree in Semiconductor device modeling and simulation under Anna University, Chennai in 2014. She is currently working as Professor, Department of ECE, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore, India. She has 130+ publications including 50+ indexed journals and 35+ indexed conferences, 2 Patents (1-granted & 1-published) 1 book published as editor and 10 book chapters as Author. She had 3 funded projects from various government funding agencies like DRDO and DST. She has have received IEI- Young Engineer Award in 2017, Women in Engineering Award in 2018, Outstanding Scientist Award in 2020, DSCE Best researcher award in 2022. She is a IEEE Senior member and Execom member CEDA, Bangalore section, Fellow of IETE, Life Member of ISTE and member of IEI. Her research interests focused on Modeling of Nanoscale semiconductor device modeling and Simulation using the both Sentaurus and Atlas TCAD Simulation tool. Currently she is working with Analog and digital circuit simulation using GNRFET and CNFET.
