Biography:
Masafumi Miyatake received his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan, in 1999. In April 1999, he was a Research Associate at Tokyo University of Science for one year. In April 2000, he joined Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan, where he is currently a professor and chairperson for the Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences. His research interests include renewable energy, energy storage, energy management and control, and their applications to transportation systems such as railways. He is a senior member of IEEJ and member of IEEE.
