IEEE IAS SJCE SB in association with IEEE St. Joseph’s College of Engineering student chapter conducted a webinar session “SHINING BRIGHT” on 02-03-2024. The topic for the session was " MICRO INVERTER FOR ROOFTOP SOLAR PV SYSTEMS" presented by Mr. SIVARAMAN P, SMIEEE, Project Director IEEE ADSF SIGHT, IEEE PES YP I & E Subcommittee. Students from the Final year, pre-final year, and Second year of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering participated. Certainly, he discussed from the basic PV system, the application of microinverters in rooftop solar PV systems, highlighting the significance of rooftop installation, individual module optimization, and the preferred locations for microinverter placement. Additionally, he compared the inverting ratings of 1000W and 1200W microinverters, emphasizing how strategic placement enhances overall system performance. Approximately 30+ students took part in this event over Google meet. The participants were rewarded with E-certificates. Appreciation Certificate and E- Memento was award to the speaker by the end of the session.
