Biography:

Engr. Ma. Madecheen S. Pangaliman, M.Sc., graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSECE) from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Manila (PUP-Manila) in 2016. She then obtained her Master of Science in Electronics Engineering (MS ECE) from Mapúa University in 2019. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. 

Before joining the faculty of the University of Santo Tomas in 2018, she worked as an Application Development Analyst at an Information Technology company for one and a half years. She is licensed in Electronics Engineering and actively participates in the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (IECEP), the Philippine E-Learning Society (PeLS), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). She is involved in various divisions such as Women in Engineering (as the current chair), Young Professional, and Education Society.

She served as an e-Learning specialist and coordinator in the Student Academic Advising and Other Services (SAAS) and the Engineering Pre-Major Year Collaborative (EPYC) Program in the Faculty of Engineering. She is currently leading the Top Thomasian Engineering News (Top TEN) Committee of the Faculty of Engineering, managing the academic unit's public engagement.

She has presented her research, which spans machine learning, deep learning, computer programming, robotics, and computational intelligence, at both local and international conferences.
