Brief description:
On 4th March 2024, IEEE Information Theory Society, SEC Student Branch Chapter in association with Computer Society of India and Department of Computer Science and Engineering, organised a 2-day Bootcamp titled "2 Days Bootcamp-III on Data Science". The event began with a welcome address from Dr. B Latha, HOD, Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Following the introduction, Mr. Santhosh Nagaraj, the speaker, commenced the first day's session. Mr. Santhosh Nagaraj conducted a live hands-on session in the lab environment. He covered
various topics including linear regression, data gathering, data cleaning, types of data, encoding, model building, model evaluation, and model deployment. The session was interactive and provided participants with practical insights into the field of data science.
The second day's sessions delved into more advanced topics within data science. Participants were engaged in discussions and practical exercises related to advanced model building techniques, feature engineering, and optimization strategies. The event concluded with a valedictory speech from Dr. B Latha, HOD, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, who emphasised the importance of data science skills in today's technological landscape and encouraged students to further explore the field.
