Women in Engineering IEEE Affinity Group & IEEE Student Chapter, Integral University, Lucknow in collaboration with  Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a One Day National Seminar on “Power of setting goals"  on 27th August 2016 (Saturday). Experts from industry & academia expressed their views on the topic.

The Seminar was presided over by Convener, Prof. S. Hasan Saeed, HoD ECE, and was graced by presence of Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar Dean Engineering, Prof Aqil Ahmad, COE, HoD/ Deans of various departments.

Expert from Industry Mrs. Sandhya Tayal, Senior Managar, IBM, Pune & from Academia,                  Dr. N.R.Kidwai, Dean Engineering, JIT, Barabanki had delivered lecture on Power of setting goals.

  In First session, Prof. Saeed has welcome the guest and participants, while Prof. Aqil in address emphasized the importance of the topic for professional and personal development.

First Mrs. Tayal, a very experienced resource person from industry in her presentation diligently. Her presentation described goals, process of setting goals, key elements of goals, challenges in achieving goals and importance of goal achievement in professional career & life . 

Dr. Kidwai, has given an inspiring presentation highlighting the importance of setting goals, SMART goals, barriers encountered in goal achievement  and there possible solutions. His presentation addressed common concerns and blockade in goal setting. His presentation covered the aspiring mind survey report, general perception about professionals, role of teaching methods in learning which gave a direction for setting of learning goals.

Experts  presentations were quite inspiring for audience to set goals and its achievement. Students had great time and a knowledgeable session with these experts.

Program was concluded with vote of thanks given by Mr. Imran Ullah Khan, Faculty Advisor WIE IEEE Affinity Group, Integral University, Lucknow.​​​​​​
