WIE Nexus is a quick session we're hosting to share some basics about Women in Engineering (WIE). It's all about giving you a quick overview of what WIE is and why it matters.

During the session our primary goal was to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of IEEE and its WIE affinity group. We aimed to engage them with our organization by offering yet informative overview of IEEE, including its mission, and the role of WIE within it.

We wanted students to learn about Women in Engineering (WIE) and IEEE, and to get them excited about joining us. So we explained , why they're important, and what benefits they offer. We talked about the events we are doing and also about volunteering.

Additionally, we provided guidance on how students can join WIE and actively participate in its activities, encouraging them to become members and take advantage of the opportunities available. We highlighted upcoming events and projects planned by our WIE team, showcasing the diverse range of activities students can get involved in.

To reinforce learning and foster engagement, we organized a quiz session at the end of the awareness session. The quiz tested participants' knowledge about WIE and IEEE, with a small gift awarded to the winner. This interactive element not only encouraged active participation but also motivated other students to join and participate in future events.

Looking ahead, we are committed to continuing these awareness sessions in the upcoming years, with the aim of further educating and engaging students with WIE and IEEE. We hope to inspire more students to join our community, actively contribute to our initiatives, and champion diversity and inclusion in engineering.
