STEM Showcase 2024 (SS'24) is an event aimed to ignite and nurturing a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) among pre-university students, teachers, and parents in the northern region of Malaysia. Building on the success of previous editions from 2019 to 2023, SS24 was organized on the 3rd and 4th of May 2024 at the UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College Batu Kawan Campus.

Drawing a vibrant tapestry of participation, SS'24 welcomed a staggering 10,000 attendees, comprising eager primary and secondary school students, dedicated educators, and supportive parents. Over two exhilarating days, attendees immersed themselves in an array of enriching activities tailored to engage and captivate. From immersive STEM workshops to hands-on experiences and thrilling competitions, SS'24 offered a comprehensive showcase of the boundless possibilities within the realm of STEM education. Complementing these interactive experiences were insightful industry exhibitions, providing a glimpse into the real-world applications and innovations driving the future of STEM fields.

IEEE Malaysia Section is the strategic partner for this STEM Showcase 2024. 20 IEEE members from the IEEE Malaysia Section, IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Malaysia Chapter, IEEE Electron Devices Society Malaysia Chapter, IEEE Malaysia Section Sensors and Nanotechnology Joint Councils Chapter, and IEEE UniMAP Student Branch lent their expertise as facilitators, enriching the event with their depth of knowledge and passion for advancing STEM education.

Additionally, 50 trainers from UniMAP MySTEM Ambassador Club, the Faculty of Electronic Engineering & Technology, and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering & Technology Universiti Malaysia Perlis contributed their invaluable support, ensuring the seamless execution and success of this landmark event.

Among the STEM Activities conducted are Periodic Table Puzzle, Sudoku, Road Block, Memory Game, Da Vinci Bridge, IQ Puzzler, Snap Circuit, Maker Uno, IoT, 3D Printing, Running:Bit, Omni:Bit, Runlinc, Quantum Computational Intelligence, Dam Matematik (DaMaT), Tobbie, Micro:Bit, PikaBot, Sustainable Development Goals Game and Drone Simulation.

In essence, STEM Showcase 2024 epitomizes the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and empowerment, transcending boundaries to cultivate a generation of visionary thinkers and trailblazers poised to shape the future of Malaysia and beyond. As the curtains close on yet another chapter, the legacy of SS'24 continues to shine brightly, illuminating pathways to a future where the marvels of STEM are within reach for all who dare to dream and aspire.
